90 cents of every dollar goes directly to the school's bank account. Stripe splits each gift at the moment of payment, so Verusara never holds the money. Verusara keeps 10%, which covers Stripe's card processing fee (about 3%) and platform operations. That's it — no hidden fees, no vendor cut.
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, the same payment infrastructure used by Amazon, Google, and thousands of other companies. Your card number never touches Verusara's servers. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of payment security certification.
No account needed. Just pick an amount, click Donate Now, and complete checkout through Stripe. The whole process takes about 60 seconds. You can pay with a credit card, Google Pay, or Apple Pay.
Yes! Each teacher gets a unique campaign link. When you click your child's teacher's link, your donation is automatically credited to their classroom on the leaderboard. If you arrive at the general campaign page, you'll be asked to select a classroom before donating.
Checking "Add 3% to help cover card processing costs" adds 3% to your total. The school always receives 90% of everything charged, so the add-on means more reaches them. For example, a $50 gift with the add-on charges $51.50, and the school receives $46.35 instead of $45.00. It's completely optional.
Yes. Stripe sends an automatic email receipt to the address you provide at checkout. At checkout you choose whether to share your name and email with the school or organization; if you do, they can send you a thank-you and any tax acknowledgment directly. Note that donations to public school PTOs may or may not be tax-deductible depending on the PTO's tax status — check with the school directly if you need a formal acknowledgment for tax purposes.

Zero upfront cost. No setup fees, no subscription, no monthly charges. Verusara only makes money when your school raises money — we take 10% of processed donations. If your campaign raises nothing, you pay nothing.
When you partner with Verusara, we send you a secure link from Stripe to connect your school's bank account. This is a one-time setup that takes about 5 minutes. Once connected, Stripe sends 90% of every donation to that account the moment the gift is made and deposits it on a daily schedule, typically within two business days. The very first payout can take up to 7 days while Stripe verifies the account.
No. There are no products, no order forms, no deliveries, and no door-to-door sales. Parents and community members share a link. Donors give directly. That's the whole model. Students are the beneficiaries — they are never sellers.
Send us your list of teachers and grades during setup (or any time after). We add them to your page, and each classroom gets its own link automatically. Send each link to the matching teacher to share with their class parents.
No strict minimum, but we suggest at least $500 as a goal. Even a modest campaign that raises $500 puts $450 directly in your school's account — compared to $200 from a traditional fundraiser. Every dollar raised is 90% yours.
No contract. No commitment. Either party can end the partnership at any time. If you close your account, Verusara will process and pay out any pending donations before the account closes. We believe the results should keep you here — not a contract.
Currently Verusara serves Oklahoma public schools and their PTOs. We plan to expand to additional states in the future. If your school is outside Oklahoma, contact us — we're building a waitlist for expansion markets.
Student Data & Privacy
Never. Students are the beneficiaries of campaigns — they are never users of this platform. We collect zero student information: no names, no ages, no grades, no student ID numbers, nothing. Our platform is designed so that student data never enters our systems under any circumstances.
Yes. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) restricts collection of personal information from children under 13. Because Verusara never collects any student data whatsoever, we exceed COPPA's requirements. Our platform is not directed at children and does not allow children to register or submit information.

Technical & Support
Verusara accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Google Pay, and Apple Pay. No PayPal at this time. Donors do not need to create an account to give.
Campaign pages stay live for the duration you set when creating the campaign. After the campaign closes, the page remains visible but donations are no longer accepted. Closed campaigns can be reactivated for a new fundraising period.
